Gymstars/Competitive Girls Gymnastics

MOM & ME PROGRAM

These classes provide a fun way for Mom or Dad to experience with their children the learning of basic motor skills through gymnastics activities created just for kids.   An obstacle course of fun that incorporates jumping, climbing, balancing, and developing coordination and upper body awaits you and your child.  Trampoline jumping and the first stages of forward and backward rolls are just the beginning of these action-packed classes.  Each activity will be performed on equipment built just for kids!  Your child will enjoy stimulating new muscles, experiencing new challenges, and realizing success.

PRESCHOOL I and PRESCHOOL II  CLASSES

Boys and Girls between the ages of 3 and 5 years old

Classes are 50 minutes.  Cost: $45/monthly. 

Summer Membership Fee:  Effective Months of June and July 2008 ONLY $20

Classes offered for Preschool I (3-4 year olds):

Classes offered for Preschool II (4-5 year olds):

These classes are designed to help children develop coordination, listening skills, and physical fitness through basic locomotive and gymnastics skills.  Children will be pleasantly challenged with obstacle courses and games incorporating  forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, the initial stages of handstands, balance beam walks, and trampoline work.  Upper body strength will also be tested while working on a bar built just for their size.  Specific activities will be geared for each age group.

BOYS/GIRLS GYMNASTICS CLASSES

Boys and Girls who are in kindergarten and up.

Classes meet for one hour.  Cost:  $55/monthly.

These classes are designed to provide a fun, safe, and creative environment to develop motor skills, socialization skills, and  beginning skills, as well as to improve skills already learned.  We offer a comprehensive, well planned gymnastically oriented program for all ages.  When guided properly during early childhood years, children develop their optimum fundamental movement skills.  There are critical learning periods in a child's life.  In order to maximize these times, our curriculum coordinates skills and activities with the appropriate developmental stage.  Exploration, guided discovery, and positive reinforcement are some key teaching techniques incorporated into our program.  Movement skills and movement concepts are presented so that children learn how their bodies move and why.  This unique program of skill development allows each of our students to reach his or her physical potential.

TUMBLING CLASSES

Girls who are in kindergarten and up.

Classes meet for one hour.  Cost:  $55/monthly.

Summer Membership Fee:  Effective June and July 2008 ONLY $20

Special classes designed to focus on tumbling skills needed for cheerleading.

SOUTHERN MAGIC ALL-STAR SQUAD

WE ARE ALWAYS ACCEPTING NEW ATHLETES INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MEMBER OF A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING PROGRAM.

Levels:  Novice, Intermediate, Excel, and Advance

Squads:  Mini, Peewee, Youth, Junior, Senior, and Co-Ed

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR ALL BEGINNING LEVELS ALL SQUADS

PRE-TEAM/TEAM PROGRAM

Excel Gymnastics and Cheer attracts an exceptional group of competitive gymnasts.  As a year-round sport, gymnastics requires its team members to maintain high grade averages, regular goal setting, and interaction with excellent mentors.
